Owyhee Adventures (Idaho Public Television)
For most of my career I’ve been a story teller rather than a story subject. Twice in the past several years, however, I’ve found myself sharing my expertise about Idaho's rivers with the Outdoor Idaho crew from Idaho Public Television.
“The Owyhee country of Southwest Idaho and Southeast Oregon and Northern Nevada is some of the most remote country in the entire United States," I say on camera during a three-day wilderness paddle on Deep Creek. "It's inaccessible, inhospitable and yet a wonderful and rejuvenating place to be. Photographs don't do it justice, you have to be here to really understand the grandeur that exists in the Owyhee plateau.”
